YMCA of Greater Richmond is serving the youth by providing them with youth development and sport programs. The YMCA is also providing the youth with swimming lessons and teaching them about the importance's of fitness and a healthy life. The YMCA provides leaders club programs and gives the youth the opportunity to serve their communities and take on leadership roles. The YMCA also provides childcare and camps for Richmond families.

Ebone Mitchell We asked Ebone Mitchell why she started working for a non profit organization. She answered "I've worked for a non profit for a littler under 10 years. Its important for me to feel like I'm making an impact for something that is bigger than myself." We also asked Ebone Mitchell how has the YMCA impacted students in her program. She answered "the YMCA gives youth an opportunity to be the best versions of themselves. I've seen youth get their first job here, college scholarships, and seen youth have the opportunity to give back."
Breyone Gunter We asked Breyone Gunter why she joined the YMCA Northside Leader club. She answered "my friend introduced me to the program because the program helped her and she joined and the program completely changed her." We also asked does the YMCA help her with her problems at home and at school. She answered "the YMCA has helped me and is still helping me deal with the trauma that I've faced and because of that I am and will always be grateful".
